Hello
XP is a very good and stable operating system and is very ram friendly but
at the same time is very picky, check your ram and make sure they are all
good assuming that you have more then 1 and they are of same speed that is
compatible with your system (pc-100, pc-133, ect.) also check to see if your
cd-rom or DVD is not worn out and making excessive noise, make sure the CD
is clean of all dust, lint, fingerprints and no bad scratches wash it with
warm water and dry with a soft cotton towel.
After download be sure to visit the MS Update site and get all the critical
updates for your security and safety.
