ERROR MESSAGE "STRING MAL_PRODUCT_NAME_STRING WAS NOT FOUND IN STRING TABLE"

The following error message came up when I loaded my Sony
Clie software (Avantgo, third party software with
installation), the messeage was as follows ERROR
MESSAGE "STRING MAL_PRODUCT_NAME_STRING WAS NOT FOUND IN
STRING TABLE".
It gave the message with a single button for OK, so I hit
it and everything seemed OK.
After running my desktop a few days I would get random
freezing. When I tried to uninstall Avantgo, windows
would give me an unable to install message.
I finally refomatted my hard drive for the second time in
two weeks.
Is there any one that can help with this problem so that
I can use my desktop without freezing up and my PDA.
