I'll assume this is a device with a network card. If you have this setup to
an LPT port you can configure the LPT timeout value to 9999
change the Advanced printer property to Start printing after the last page
has spooled.

Hi,
When printing a file on one computer I get a timeout error as the data
going to the printer is slow. In most other computers the data continues
to the printer and the printer starts printing again and the message goes
away. But in this one computer. The spooler automatically restarts the
print job (while it continues the spooling) which causes the printer to
kick out what ever it has already printed and start printing the job from
scratch. This happens a couple of times until the full job gets spooled so
then it prints the full image. This is a very large image about 36" by 8'
and is very costly as a lot of expensive paper is getting wasted. The
computer is using windows 2000 and the printer is an Epson 9800. As I
said a timeout message isn't unusual for printing such a large image in a
very high resolution, but as the spooling continues usually it jut
continues to print after a short delay, but in this case there seems to be
a 'if timeout restart' option. I've looked through all the printer options
and spooler options in windows and can't see possible option is. If
anyone knows what setting I need to change I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Steve
