Hello,
we have set up a print server with restricted access by username and
password. Clients connect to the server via http (server is cups).
Everything works fine when we disable user access control on the server.
But when enabling it, we realize that the Win XP clients use the current
username to authenticate instead of the username we have specified in the
printing settings dialog. We noticed this through the servers log files.
The question is, whether there is a way to make windows transmit the
specified username together with the password.
Thank you, Benjamin.
