Re: receiving fax problem



It might be that the connection (phone companies) was less than it should
be.
This can be involved with the modem settings, since some of the settings
determine when the modem decides to disconnect, or what fax speed/mode to
use.

xp fax can receive faxes from some of the conpanies.
1. yesterday one user said she can not fax in. I saw the fax monitor. it
showed when she faxed in, connection was established. then it disconnected
automatically. in received fax folder, the fax file(.tif) is just about
several hundreds bytes.
2. she said she can fax to other companies perfectly except our company.
and
she tried several times
3. minutes later, a fax from other company came in perfectly.

I don't know why. Is this problem having something to do with the modem
settings?
