I have a desktop and a laptop - connected with a router. I ran the the
Wireless Network Wizard and I can connect to the Internet just fine. I
ran
the tutorial in Windows XP for Printer Sharing and ran the New Connection
Wizard and followed the instructions on both my desktop and my laptop.
The
instructions for the laptop were the same except when I got to the Option
to
Connect directly to another computer the option in the tutorial for the
laptop said to choose the connect directly to another computer (the option
for the desktop was to accept incoming connections). When I got to this
screen on the laptop, however, it would not let me choose the option to
connect directly to another computer. Can someone help me with this?
My printer is a HP LasetJet 4 Plus, and I checked that the driver was
compatible with Windows XP.
