Re: Problem with dual HP printewrs

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi,
I have the 3210 installed with all of the HP image type software and the
5510 with only the printer driver installed so as to not cause a conflict.
I guess that I will have to call HP tech service for the 4th time in order
to try and resolve the problem. Thanks for your comments.

Hi:
There are 'two' All-in-One, one for Photosmart 3310 and other for 'PSC
1600'
in my 'two' computers, HP Pavillion..., Media Center and Home Ediction.

In my case, there is NO conflict, but just one of them does NOT have all
functionability, only
'printing' and 'copying' available while other printer has all functions,
from photo to printing.
On HP Media Center, Photosmart 3310 is primary and 'PSC 1600' on Home
Edition.
You can NOT have both, as stated on the HP web-site.

Regarding 'HP Chat,' a tech.guy told me it's NEVER a good idea that two
'all-in-one' keeping in
same computer, and advised me to remove one of them, due to the conflict
between 'two.'
However, I still keep both in two computers without any conflict to see.

In my guess, ... in case like yours, probably the 'two' All-in-One has
every
functions that might be causing
the problem?

In my experience on HP Chat, there is some discripancies in regard to
'problem' about they are handling,
then try to connect another tech. Because, like any other tech. service,
there has different view and suggestions.
Also, not all tech. is proficient on problem we'are having. Once, I
needed
to delete some important file, then
I learned GOOD on this regard. However, overall all of HP and other site,
'Norton' Chat are VERY professional
and courteous on their service. I'm VERY glad to have it.

I have installed two HP All-in-One printer/scanners on my computer. The
OfficeJet #5510 and the PhotoSmart #3210. Each morning when starting my
computer, it does not recognize the #3210. My error messages are "an
error
occurred communicating with the scanning device" and "the computer is
unable
to establish 2 way communication with the device". When checking Device
Manager, the #3210 is no longer listed as an available printer. Could
there
be some sort of "conflict" between the 2 printers? Has anyone else had
this
problem and if so, how was it resolved. The technical people at HP don't
seem to have a clue as to what to do.
