I tried them all and the printer still only prints high quality print - no
draft. I called canon and talked to support there and they put me through a
few steps without any change and finally gave up, calling it a software
problem with Quattro Pro and Word Perfect. I don't agree but what can you
do, the printer is two months out of warranty.
I have a job I am working on that requires about 54 spreadsheets that I will
have to print about every two to three days. With the printer acting the
way it does, it takes 2 minutes 20 seconds for each page. I am giving up
and buying a cheap laser printer and just using the Canon for photos.
Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will go through the steps and see if
any of them correct the problem. I am the only user, so that should not
be an issue.
Thanks again,
Don Dunlap

Uninstall the printer drivers and disconnect the printer. Reboot.
Reinstall the printer drivers. If this continues to occur--
Try using start settings printers & Fax to set the options. Shutdown,
Reboot.
Did the options hold.
Make sure that the desired mode is set for both portrait & landscape.
Reset
any options as needed. Shutdown, & Reboot.
IF the options don't hold--
The driver or registry entries for the driver are likely the culprit.
Occasionally, the multi-user environment may play a part.
In the case of registry options, the safest thing to do is to see if
canon
has a cleanup utility that will remove any stray or corrupt registry
entries
for the printer.

I hope this is the right forum to ask. I have the Subject printer andhave
primarily used it for photo printing. I am trying to print Draftlong
spreadsheets and letters and it only prints "Fine" quality, taking very
for each page.I
I have tried all settings that I can find, naturally the "Draft" option
in
the properties, but it always prints the highest quality. Has anyone
else
had this problem or can anyone point me in a direction to resolve it.
I am using Windows XP Pro and just downloaded the latest drivers. I
guess
that this could be a Windows problem but I am not leaning that way yet.
believe that I was able to print in Draft mode earlier, but can't beletters,
sure.
I am
trying to print some Quattro Pro spreadsheets and some Word Perfect
but get the same results with anything. The spreadsheets are beingprinted
in 'Landscape' mode if that makes a difference.
Thanks for any help
