Re: network printer appears as a LPT1 entry with no network info



That's very strange, particularly the grayed out port buttons. I don't know
the answer, but have a couple of thoughts. In a command prompt can you ping
\\bruce\\xerox? What happens if you type net use \\bruce\\xerox? Do you
get any error code? Does it show up in Network Places?
