Uisng XP fully updated.
I had a problem when I tried to fax, system would indiate no Fax printer
available and would not allow fax to proceed. I was out of my home and had no
printer connected. I was trying to send only. In the details i read about the
error "no Fax prinetr" it said I could install a Fax printer, but I never was
able to do that. The installl fax printer was always grey and could not be
selected

I thought I would try to remove and reinstall Fax
Using the ADD Remove, I removed the Fax component and was successful.
I then tried to reinstall fax both from CD and Computer. Everything
completes and says it is installed but when I check the Communication folder,
the Fax folder shows up "empty" and when I check in the Add remove programs
it shows not checked.

any idea on what I can do to reload the FAX component???

Thanks
