I have a fairly simple setup: Windows XP machine with a shared printer
on my home network. My home network is configured to have a workgroup
named "shire" (yes I am a geek). This has worked wonderfully printing
from my wife's laptop (windows 2000) as well as my work laptop
(windows xp).

Recently at work we switched domains and my username changed and ever
since then I have been unable to print from my machine. My machine is
on my work domain but that has never caused me problems in the past.
When I browse for printers the workgroup SHIRE appears, but when I
select it to expand the workgroup I see an hourglass for a bit and it
never expands.

I have NETBOIS enabled as well as computer services. I enabled the
guest account on the machine sharing the printer (BAGEND) just in case
that might help. I also tried adding an account with my same username
and password. I also can't browse the shared folder from my work
machine. This works without problem from my wife's machine.

thanks for any troubleshooting advice,

sj
