I have read and re-read your posting. I still have little idea what you are
writing about.

It seems that you have two IDE controllers. One is a standard controller
with a HD (and optical devices, perhaps, such as CD or DVD drives) while the
other is a raid controller with two other drives connected.

Also, it seems, you are getting an "access denied" message when trying to
install a Canon i550 printer to the ATA 133 raid array.

I have no idea what the relevance of "The other HD I have on the normal IDE
runs ok with the printer." is. Do you mean that the printer driver will
install OK to the HD on the standard controller?

So, please let us know exactly what you are trying to do, what steps you are
following, and what the result is including any error messages. I would help
if you provided a sequence of events.

And: do you have device drivers installed for the raid controller?
