I have a PC with XP Pro SP2.

I some how managed to disable the rotate feature for pictures when
viewing in a folder filmstrip.

I have a new camera which will take big pictures. Whilst viewing the
first results and trying to rotate the pictures I was getting a
message that the picture might be affected by rotation due to its
size - do you want to proceed. I must have clicked the 'Don't show me
this again box' as I am not getting the message now.

I am now unable to rotate any pictures in filmstrip view.

Can anyone tell me how I can restore this so I can rotate pictures
again.

Thanks

To reset the Rotate dialog...try the following...

Open an image in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer...

Hold your Ctrl key and close the viewer...(X on titlebar)

You should see a dialog that says:

"Any rotation warnings that you may have suppressed
have been reset, and may appear again when you
rotate a picture."

Now you may need to run the following command:

Go to...Start / Run and type
(or copy/paste):

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

Try rotating your pictures...
