Last night, I went to work on tweaking some of my Photo Story 3.1
movies and once I saved them to .wmv format, when I played them in
WMP 11, I noticed the transitions were real choppy, not like before.
I thought it was WMP11, so I uninstalled that and it put back WMP10,
which I had before. However the movies are still playing back choppy.
I saved the movie to a CD and played them on another computer and
they seemed okay. I even did as WMP10 and 11 suggested and dialed
down the video acceleration, but that didn't help any, if anything it
made it worse.
Any ideas on what the heck happened to make the movies choppy now? I
even turned off the MY Book external hard drive to ensure it wasn't
interferring with anything and it still does it. Since I switched
back to WMP10, I can only presume that the XP SP2 or something messed
with my computer video? They worked before, but now are not working
properly on my computer. Help!

I don't have a simple fix for you...maybe
the following info will offer some ideas:
Sometimes the projects are too complex.
I guess you know there is an image limit
of 300 but with lots of panning/zooming/
transitions/music...that number is reduced.
Maybe you need more RAM.
Increasing the size of your Virtual Memory

Did you also install IE7? Might be worth
a try to uninstall it:

Might be worth a try to update your video driver.
Search the support website of your video adapter's
manufacturer for an updated driver.

(check the two boxes..."Automatically fix file
system errors" and "Scan for and attempt
recovery of bad sectors") the utility will run
the next time you restart your computer.
(run error checking repeatedly until it finds
no errors)
