Re: Photo Info tool not installing

Add me the group where the install doesn't finish.

Surprisingly, I just installed Synctoy 1.4 with no problem, but that
doesn't have to monkey with Windows Exployer.

Similar problem to Johnny Red:

Using Win XP sp2, with .NET2 and all updates; anti-virus, firewall and
Windows Defender all disabled. When I run PhotoInfoSetup I get the
following
message -

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as
part of the setup did not finish as expected".

Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

I've tried twice to install the newPhotoInfoTool, but I get an
error message stating something to the effect that one of the
components didn't install correctly, so the installation gets
aborted. I've downloaded the .msi file twice and installed it
separately, but it does not install.

Anybody else run into this problem and/or have a solution?

This is a new app and we have no
infoon it as yet.

Just a couple of ideas.....

Does your system meet the minimum
requirements?

Windows Vista; Windows XP"
MicrosoftPhotoInforequires 32-bit
versions of Windows Vista or Windows XP
with Service Pack 2 or later and the

Did you try disconnecting from the net
and disabling your virus scanner and
firewall before the install?
