When printing from a Canon I900d photo printer the image is bright on the
LCD and PC monitor however when I print them they are considerably darker
(all prints). Is there a way to print lighter images in the Zoombrowser
software? Or should I use another program ?

Is Zoombrowser color managed? If so, you need to check to see that
(1) You are using the correct profile
(2) You are not applying the profile twice

If Zoombrowser is not color managed, then you need to switch programs.
