would require a second DVD and see what the program either tells you

With Nero I tried to copy a DVD that was around 8GB. The copying did not
take place because it said that the destination medium is of smaller size
and truly it was of 4.7GB only. I tried to find any mention of spanning in
the help of Nero---I did not find any. I am using Nero 6.6.1.4 Sony
edition. What is the version of Roxio you are using please?
Roxio versions 6 and subsequent are certainly capable of spanning DVD disks.
It is surprising that recent versions of Nera aren't as well.
