Hello Sam,
What programs have you tried to view the animated GIFs? If you dbl-click a
gif file, what program does it open with and is it animated? Keep in mind
that Paint won't show animated GIFs but Windows Picture and Fax Viewer will.
If when you dbl-click a gif it does not open with Windows Picture and Fax
Viewer, try this:
1. Click the Start button, then click Run.
2. type in "REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL" without the quotes
3. Click OK.
Result: You should see a message like: "DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL
succeeded".
Try dbl-clicking the gif again.
Let us know how that goes.
Thanks,
Gregg Rivers [MSFT]
