1. Is the Rotate.. option missing completely, or dimmed?
2. Have you set the folder view to Thumbnail??
3. What's the file type involved???

Meanwhile, run this command.

regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
(Type in Start, Run)

If the "Rotate.." options are dimmed, remove the Read-only attribute from that file.

that's all well and good, but none of those addresses the problems I have
specifically with pictures (thumbnails and opened in windows fax and picture
viewer). I can't rotate them (it doesn't appear on the right-click menu) or
set as background through the right-click menu as I once did before!
