Well, let's see. I have plenty of hard drive space, and I have tried both
Sony and Memorex CDs.

Here is the verbatim text of the error message I get.

"Cannot complete the CD Writing Wizard. There was an error in the writing
process. The disc you have attempted to write may no longer be usable.
What do you want to do?" Then there are three choices with a radio button
in front of each. The choices are: "Eject this disc and try making
another. Delete the files that are waiting to be written. Save the files
so that I can try again later."

Once I click one of the three choices, the "finish" button becomes the only
other choice I have.

My biggest frustration is that once I get this failure, the disc is totally
unusable. Cannot be recognized or read or anything. I have a waste basket
full of discarded discs, and my pictures are still on my hard drive.
Grrrrrr!

And just as a side note, things were worse with Iomega HotBurn Pro before I
uninstalled it and started trying to use XP. The actual external burner is
recognized and all the tests I've run on it indicate the device itself is
working properly.

I'm at a loss and open to whatever additional suggestions you may have.
