Thank you, but I had already tried that - and it didn't work. Maybe the
problem lies within my cable company and not in my PC.
However, there is a way to walk around the problem, when it comes to
pictures which are hidden behind thumbs: I just right click on the thumb and
apply the "Save target as" option. Then they get downloaded in the original
format.
For all the other pictures (which are relatively few in number, thank
goodness) I just use the "Send-picture-as-email" option.
