If you open a folder that contains image files...
what happens if you right click a file and from
the menu choose...Send to / Mail Recipient?

After choosing *Yes* to resize...does a New
E-mail message appear with the files attached?
If not...and if you are using Outlook Express...
try the following:

I cannot guarantee it, but the following method may work:

How do I make OE my default mail client?

Go to...Start / Run...and type the following:

>"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg<
(copy paste everything between the > < but not including the > <)
(But first...Check the path to msimn.exe to make sure it is correct)

Click...OK...

Then open Internet Explorer and go to...Tools / Internet Options /
Programs tab...and set OE as the default mail (and news) program.

Good luck.

To find your files...go to...Start / Search / Pictures /
enter *.jpg / search. This will find all .jpg files
on your hard drive. If you place your pointer on
any image that you find...a box will appear that
shows the path to the image.

Also...there is a free PowerToy you can download
from the following site that will make resizing
image files very simple:

I guess you're running WinXP or you wouldn't
be here...right?

OK, go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

BTW...when resizing if you go to...Advanced
Button / Custom...and enter 640 in each field...
that will be a good size for e-mail purposes.
