Just wondering how you thought anyone would
know that you were asking about MSPaint?

The handles are small black squares at the
corner of the image. Place your pointer on the
bottom right corner of the image and move it
slightly until you see the 2 way arrow...then
left click/drag.

As it states in the Help files...

"If your current picture is bigger than the new
size, the picture is cut from the right side and
bottom to fit within the smaller area."

If you save a file...use Save As and give the
file a new name...this will prevent you from
replacing (overwriting) your original.

Paint is not a digital image editing program
and will not be a good application for resizing
images.

There is a free powertoy you can download:

I guess you're running WinXP or you wouldn't
be here...right?

OK, go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

BTW...when resizing if you go to...Advanced
Button / Custom...and enter 640 in each field...
that will be a good size for e-mail purposes.

Also there is a free program called IrfanView
that can be quite useful...especially if you do
not have an image editing program.

Download IrfanView 3.91
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html
(get the plug-ins too)
