Computer won't load up pictures when I insert camera's memory stick???

    When I first go tmy computer less than a week ago I inserted my Sony memory stick into the slot in the front of the computer and it automatically loaded up all my pictures so I could save them to the computer. Now I tried it again, and it won't open them up, and the drive won't show up when I open up "My Computer". The little light on the front of the computer won't light up either like it did before when it worked...

    It opens up when I connect the USB cord to my camera with the memory stick in the camera... But not when I just insert the memory stick. What gives? Somebody help me PLEASE.
