I have purchased Sonic MYDVD Deluxe and when I try to load the program it
will not accept the serial number that is stuck to the cd cover.
Yes I have called tech support and returned the software twice and the same
thing happens.
Funny to find that the serial number is printed on a sticker that is stuck
to the cd case but upon inspection there is actually 2 of them, one on top
of the other.
Now tech support tell me that he has one the same and it works
fine.....CRAP!
I reckon the production line is out of wack and because they don't
communicate with each other they just haven't realised it yet. They tell me
they have sold thousands so it must be my machine. I can accept I may have a
problem, but they are going to have one right back if they don't provide a
solution.
When you phone their tech support you get 2 options, to press 1 which
connects you with Adaptec in Japan and they tell me that they do not provide
support for sonic.
Or you can press 2 on your phone and go to another message which tells you
to go to the website and read the FAQ's and/or email them from the
website....well I have done this twice so far and yes you guessed it they
don't respond....catch 22.
I suggest, anyone wanting to purchase this software that they DO NOT.
Oh yeah something that there website doesn't tell you is that part of the
software suite is in actual fact RECORD NOW, which if I had known I would
not have purchased it.
But they fail to mention this on the website don't they...who wouldn't.
And if someone from sonic of Adaptec read this remember I've got all day to
come back here when you aren't here and rubbish your software and lack of
support as much as I like. Lift your game whoever you are Sonic or Adaptec
or Roxio.
I am sick of paying to mail the crappy piece of crap back and forth and
wonder if anyone can provide a solution in the form of a reg edit that can
bypass this invalid serial number.
I ain't afraid of the registry one little bit and will try anything if you
can suggest it!
