Yes, startup type is manual.

Yes... I had a lot of trouble getting the network to work properly so was
just using internet connection sharing. Now we have a new router so the
network runs through that - everything properly now I think but all I really
use it for is sharing the printer.

Basically yes there is a network which is now working fine as far as I know.
