Gerry,

I'm very sorry to say, I'didn't pick up on that part. Thank you for taking
the time to answer and your repeated follow-up.

Cheers-

Did you no tread this part of the previous post?

During the uninstall process, the Windows Disk Defragmenter is restored
to the state it was in before Diskeeper was installed.

The link below explains how to reinstall Disk Defragmenter if that
becomes necessary:

Thank you. I am familiar with this process. I really need to know if
MS's defrager is available when it's not part of an OEM config.

For Disk 2008 but likely to apply to what you have got:

H. UNINSTALLING DISKEEPER
==========================

To uninstall Diskeeper, you must be logged into an account that
is a member of the Administrators group.

Follow these steps to completely remove and uninstall Diskeeper
from your computer. Note that the controls may have slightly
different names, depending on your version of Windows:

1. From Control Panel, double click "Add/Remove Programs".

2. Highlight the Diskeeper entry.

3. Click Remove. This removes the Diskeeper program files
from your computer. In most cases, the Diskeeper
installation directory will not be removed.

4. During the uninstall process, the Windows Disk Defragmenter
is restored to the state it was in before Diskeeper was
installed.

5. Manually delete the Diskeeper installation directory if it
exists.

Note: If the MMC has been installed on your computer, it will
not be removed when Diskeeper is uninstalled

When I initiate a defrag or any function of my Diskeeper Lite
program, I receive and error message about MMC experiencing a
"snap-in" malfuction.

Limited research has yielded little info, with the exception that
I'm not alone w/this matter.

Can I switch to MS Degrafer and in-install Diskkeeper's product? If
so, can anyone point me to the link for the MS Defrager program?

As a point of reference, I have a Thinkpad T-60 w/XP Ser pack 3.
