Re: Installing Extra RAM

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

The computer will do everything for you. No settings for you to adjust. Just be certain that the RAM you are purchasing is designed to work with your computer. The major RAM vendors (e.g., Crucial, Kingston, Corsair) have RAM selectors on their web sites that make it easy to find the right memory for your computer.

This next part is just my opinion: You are better off to purchase RAM from the better RAM vendors, instead of whatever is on sale this week at Staples or Best Buy etc.

Hi,

If I install extra RAM into my PC, am I required to change any settings under XP or will the system automatically adjust anyway?

Cheers.
