Alan
Please list the specific Updates in your last Update.
To obtain a list of the August updates installed select, Start, Help and
Support, Keep your Windows up- to-date with
Windows Update, Review your Update History.

Hope this helps.

Now, on top of everything else, if I attempt to use Windows Media
Player to play any DVD, my computer just up and simply shuts down and
does a total system reboot, and when I use the Windows Error Report,
I am told it is because of a "stop error" caused by a device driver.
I had downloaded a Windows update for my on-board audio (CMedia
CMI9761A, the CMedia website has no driver updates more recent than
2004). But when I use my ATI Video player or ASUS InterVideo WinDVD
program, the DVD's play just fine.

After a recent Windows update, I suddenly began getting this new
popup whenever I restart the computer:
"Could not load file or assembly 'MOM.Implementation,
Version=2.0.2736.38608, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e' or one of its dependencies. The
system cannot find the file specified."
No message shows in the blue bar atop the popup window, and no other
information than what I have shown above. When OK is clicked,
nothing out of the ordinary happens.
Does anyone recognize the technobabble listed in this popup, and
might anyone know what it is, and how to get rid of it?
