Hi Kevin:
You need to thoroughly scan your system for malicious software with /several/ of the better online scanners (Kaspersky, Eset, Trend Micro, Panda, Sophos, Symantec etc.) and, if necessary, submitted a HiJack This log to one of the expert web sites that analyze these logs.

Hi All, recently my hard drive use indicator light has been going constantly. When I run apps other than word, they all do a start stop sequence. They are agonizingly slow to respond..
I have reg mechanic and have run my adaware to no avail. I have regedited and removed all programs from startup. I have a p4 300 gig with a 1 gig of ram 160 gig hd with XP Pro Installed. DSL with no networking, its just a stand alone. Any help as to what I can do to diagnose this issue would be great.
Thanks Kevin
