when I try to defrag my Dell XP it will defrag to 3%, then freeze up and

a error message with the blue screen will come up on it. I have chkdsk/f,
chkdsk/r, disk cleanup, analysis, done some of these thing in safemode and
nothing works. please help me.
This may be a long shot, but the command should be chkdsk /f (with a space
before the /). Did you do that?

Windows 2000 boot problem ... I get a stop error message when I start the laptop.... How do I get rid of this ... screen and run CHKDSK/F as instructed? ... (microsoft.public.win2000.general)
Re: Dell XP will not Disk Defragmente ... select Start, All Programs, accessories, System Tools, Disk CleanUp, ...System Restore and remove all but the latest System ... chkdsk/r, disk cleanup, analysis, done some of these thing in safemode ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.perform_maintain)
