Okay, I have never had this problem previously and I will do my best to
describe to you everything that is happening:

1.) computer turned on
2.) I sign into my user account
3.) Everything loads like it should
4.) Then a box pops up telling me that I don't currently have a connection
to the internet and asks if I would like to work offline (which should bring
up when clicked a list of the changed interent information for my computer --
but it doesn't when I click it) I have clicked both Try Again and Work
Offline.. nothing happens, the box disappears and then reappears a few
seconds later.
5.) THE MAIN ISSUE IS: that when I attempt to look at network connections
through any and all the means I know how it does nothing, when I try to
access my computer, control panel, my documents, my photos.. etc, it acts
like it is going, then the icons on the desktop disappear and it is also like
the system is doing the same thing it does when you just boot up, the icons
reappear then running programs and battery status disappear and reappear.

It is the strangest thing my laptop has ever done. I haven't recently
downloaded anything new or installed any new programs.
I have restarted my computer and tried it again, it does the same thing.
I am however allowed to access (at least open) my computer, control panel
etc from the Guest Account but that of course, does me no good because all my
documents are on my account. I can however access my documents through Word.

We recently ( as in today ) had WILD BLUE installed at our home, and the way
I discovered this problem was when I tried to directly connect my laptop to
the cable from the modem -- nothing happened, I didn't get a connection at
all (I tried to connect with the dial up, it worked and I used my wireless
just last night) So I wanted to go into network connections to take a look at
it to try to figure out why I wasn't getting a connection, and of course..
what I have described above happened.

Any help or ideas of what this might be would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Well did you tried to access your Network settings when it worked again and
see what is there?.
How do you connect to the Internet through Modem <----- Router <---
Computer/Laptop?.
Did you scanned for Viruses and malwares on your computer or do you have
Anti-virus software installed and anti-spyware at all?.
Have a look in the Event Viewer for any error message may help us to
troubleshoot your scenario/issue in the right directions.
On how to access the Event Viewer follow these:
1- Open a Run Command
2- Type in the text box: eventvwr click [OK].
3- On the Event viewer you will see three folders click on each and you
will see the log fie or Events in the Right pane/window by double clicking
the Error message (X) you will get more information about the
application/hardware causing it and you can copy and paste in your next
message.
HTH.
Let us know.
