Symantec is renowned for being difficult to remove.
You need to keep an eye on what appears in Event Viewer. Not so much the occasional Error as the ones that recur.

deleted from the Registry the error was gone. When you say to look
closely for Norton/Symantec entries that is what you have to do. I
found more than nine entries at different locations.
