IMAPI - CD Burning COM service should be in services.msc
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double click IMAPI - CD Burning COM |
Set the startup type to Automatic | Click Apply |
Click the Start button | When the service starts, click OK |
Close Services
IMAPI - CD Burning COM service
Manages CD recording using Image Mastering Applications Programming
Interface (IMAPI). If this service is stopped, this computer will be unable
to record CDs with XP's inbuilt CD burner software.
If you are using a 3rd party program this service does not need to run.
