I can see that you are not a fan of neither Norton or Mc afee as an
antivirus. Do you have an opinion on Nod32 which i use.

I've never used NOD32 myself, but I've heard good things about it. I'm
personally happy with Avast.

Also any
opinion on defrag Diskeeper10??

I now use Perfect Disk, and like it a lot, but I've used Diskkeeper in the
past, and it too seemed like a good product.

So i got the dell dimension 3000, only 80 gig hard drive, i had only
20 gigs left so i decided to clean my computer up, deleted all sorts
of old files that just contained trip pictures, internet videos i
downloaded, etc about 15 gigs or so... Well after burning them all
to a blank desk i ran ccleaner, then disk defregmenter, downloaded
and used registry mechanic, and tried "Rambooster". I have full
McAfee protection, its done all its virus scans, etc. So after
deleting all sorts of programs and games, running cleaning
software, MY computer has been running soooo slow. cant even barely
open folders, it just takes forever to do anything, and
"Photogallery" wants to try and install everytime i play a vid, and
MULTIPLE TIMES, soo annoying. Whats going on with my computer? any
way to fix it.

Almost all of these third-party programs you have running in an
attempt to "clean" your computer are *likely* to make things slower,
rather than better. Defragging is fine, and ccleaner can be OK or
not, depending on how you use it. But you shouldn't use programs
like Rambooster and Registry Mechanic. Also note that next to
Norton, McAfee is probably the worst security software on the market.

I can't be sure, of course, that your problems have been caused by
any of these, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised to find that
out. And if they have caused problems, I'm not sure how to (or even
whether you can) undo their effects; perhaps someone else here can
advise you on that.

Besides the points above, the most common culprit for a slow
computer these days, and the first thing you should be looking at,
is whether you have malware infestation. Despite your running
McAfee, which I don't trust at all, I recommend that you go to
Malke's Malware Removal site at
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware and
follow the instructions there.
