Thanks for responding. However, I've already tried all of that, and
still no luck. Any more ideas?

Recommended resolution
The driver returned failure from its DriverEntry routine. Uninstall the
driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade
the driver.
On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start
the Troubleshooting Wizard.

Hello.
In the past week, I'm suddenly getting a "Windows cannot initialize the
device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)" error message. Because of
this, I can't access my CD ROM or DVD ROM drives from Windows.
I'm running Windows XP, Home Edition, SP2, with the latest patches. I
don't believe I installed any new updates from when the driver would
start till now.
The computer hardware sees the CD ROM and DVD ROM fine, and Windows is
aware of them, since they are correctly listed in the Device Manager.
I've tried the Troubleshooter, and followed all of the steps. In the
end, it says it can't help me.
Any ideas what to try next?
Regards,
Greg
