starting from the 1st error on reboot to the last they are:

no wonder it takes 5mins to load XP. if anyone can shed light on fixing
these errors the beers on me.

i have a new machine that takes forever for windows XP to load after logging in.

Check the Event Log (Run->eventvwr). Look in the System Event log and I can pretty much guarantee that there will be one or more
Error events (they are marked by red x-circles), at the start of each boot-up (check the date/time stamps), with the Source listed
as "Service Control Manager". Double-click those to see which service is hanging, and thus causing the delay-particularly the first
one of the session (the one nearest the bottom of the latest set).
