Hi,
Go to Start - Run and type or paste "control userpasswords2" (without
the quotes).
Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply - ok and
follow the prompts to set up a default logon.
Or
Install TweakUI, go to Logon - Autologon and check "Log on automatically
at system startup" then enter the users name.
Microsoft PowerToys - Tweakui for WinXP: Ver. 2.10 requires WinXP SP1
and later

With NO Service Packs installed, the earlier version can be found here:

TweakUI can be accessed from Start - All Programs - Powertoys for

I use XP Home and have only one account, however, I always boot to the
login
screen where I have to choose my account to continue startup. Is
there a way
to tell Windows that it is the default account and to automatically
select it
and continue?
