Re: removing a protected file



Try running scans in safe mode. If you still can't get rid of the file you
need to boot from the XP CD and delete it from the recovery console.

Can you boot from the NAV CD. That should scan and clean the files as it is
completely outside Windows. If you do this download new definitions from
Symantec.

I have a computer that has been infected with the Downloader virus.
Specifically the file "atl599.dll" is infected and Norton Anti-Virus
