Yes, Matt....... If AutoSave is enabled (default setting, I believe),
there should be plenty of them in there. Just find the most recent
date/time & open it. You'll probably have to save it back to your
MyDocuments folder or wherever you had the original. I've only had to
use an AutoSave file once & that was loonnngg ago. 8^)

Hope it works out for you, too.

Hi Folks,
I have a user who was working for hours on a file. The station is a
fully
updated (now) Win XP Pro. When the notification came asking if he
wanted to
restart his system for updates he said no. This happened a few
times.
He had
to leave his station a moment and upon returning the station had
automatically restarted itself. He didn't get a chance to save his
file. Does
Windows save this file somewhere for him at an auto reboot like
this?
This
was an Office 2003 document. Doesn't Word auto save itself ever 10
minutes or
so also? Where would he find that file? Thanks!
Matt

Office 2002 is auto saving Word documentation to Journal, which is
readily accessible from Outlook (not OE). Perhaps Word 2003 does the
same.

HTH,
Carol2
