On next Startup tap F8 until you get a Menu. Select Last Known good
Configuration and see if that helps. If not try Safe Mode and if XP loads
then try a System Restore. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System
Tools>System
Restore.

After changing drive names using the registry in XP Pro, Windows won't
boot.
It loads to the screen right before the user list shows up, but the
