Click on the Start Button
select Run
paste the following command into the Open box

%Windir%\INF

press enter

Is the C:\WINDOWS\INF folder open and displayed?

Thanks for your quick response. I did see this answer in other
posts. I did try to reinstallsr. This did not work. Still unable to
access system restore. I did find a service folder and did a restart
of system restore and this did not work. Also all folders with
sr----- I an unable to open says I need a different program to open.
Was unable to find a sr.inf folder at all. Looked every where. Last
nite did the recovery console r to repair and this did not work.
Repair the install is to advanced for me plus read it could cause
more errors. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much, Deecedak

Hi,

Reinstalling System Restore should fix it.
