I am running xp home sp2.
all was well until I tried a trail tune up package .
It seems to have reduced my start up programmes such as my virus scanner and anti spyware etc.
I also cannot uninstall,anything getting a message
"The windows installer service could not be accessed. this can be if you are running in safe nose or if the windows installer is not correctly installed"

I'm nor running in safe mode.
System restore did not work
