Performance Monitor or PDH.dll to identify Video memory problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

My remote client has recently migrated from Win98 to XP and now he is having
a problem with my VB6 desktop application which ran fine prior to the switch
to XP. Now, when a picturebox's vertical scrollbar is clicked, their
machines appear to have trouble repainting the screen to display the correct
portion of the image in the picturebox. No error messages are thrown.

This sounds like a video driver issue but they are all apparently XP signed
according to sigverif.exe. For my next step, I am looking for some
Performance Monitor (or PDH) Object or Counter whose value might indicate if
there is a video or graphics problem which would leave the machine unable to
refresh its display.

Any and all help will be much appreciated.
