I have built and repaired computers for over 10 years and thought I'd
seen most problems until I was asked to sort out the "No Paging File"
problem. I spent two days trying every trick I could think of plus any
Web info I could find plus all the usual drive permissions, NAV2004 etc
etc. Nothing worked. An upgrade XP repair also did not work. In the end
I just formatted and reinstalled XP.. all OK. A trick to get past the
endless boot up is to press Alt+Tab at the Welcome screen then press OK
at the Virtual Memory Warning. This boots up XP straight away at which
point I would back up any important stuff then format and reinstall..
much faster than trying to solve it and no headaches.

PS If anyone really has the answer I'd love to hear it.
