OK, Here's my suggestion:
You're connecting on broadband? GET RID OF THE MODEM! If it's a card, pull
it out, if it's hardwired on the MOBO, then disable it in the hardware tree!
Problem solved, if your comp doesn't see the modem, then it won't try to
dial with it!
