When I try to activate the Task Manager, the Task Manager
window flashes on for a split second and then disappears.
I am thus unable to use the Task Manager. I have tried
all manners of access ie Alt+Control+Delete and by right
clicking on the task bar to access the TM and via Start,
Run, msconfig, return.
Perhaps conincidentally this problem started whilst I had
disabled my virus protection (McAfee) for a few days for
an unrelated reason. Now when I try to reinstall McAfee
the installation process freezes before completion.
Can anyone help - is this caused by some virus?
