Re: Jupitor Jones wrote-The recognition of the firewall and antivirus will

their users.
In the following article there is a list of software that could/may or will
have difficulties with Sp2
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=884130
Many of these issues are related to the introduction of the Windows Firewall
feature.
...........
I'm interpreting the above to mean IF the Sp2 FIREWALL feature is NOT
enabled THEN the software will not have a problem.
Several of my main software is on this list. I do not have the Sp2 firewall
active and Diskkeeper, MsOffice, Antivirus and Firewall are all operating as
normal.
Its my opinion that following the steps on
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/spackins.htm is the key to success and I
figured the most important step was unchecking all the items in the start-up
and rebooting.
I did a lot of looking around for input before installing this upgrade and
concluded if the hard drive had any poor links or orphans it likely would
just be accelerated so a tidy, clean registry and a careful installation
gives a similar result. I thought there would be a perceptible difference
with Sp2 installed and there isn't.
