media player

I'm trying to watch some of the free tv channels in
internet but as soon i click to go in comes a sign saying
that it wasa problem and close inmediatly media player
and internet explorer..i'm using media player 9 and
explorer 6 with XP pro. what can i do to be able to watch
those channels. do i need to download something or
install or arrange in my explorer or my media player?
