low virtual question

Well this morning before I left for work I had about 30
minutes to putz around. I uninstalled norton and when I
attempted to reinstall it using the disc we bought way
back in like 2000...an error came up that that version
isn't compatible with XP. it gave me a link to follow to
get the updated drivers, but I need to go on one of my
other computers to do it since my internet doesn't not
work on that computer. so when i get home tonight and
have a chance to look at that i will hopefully get norton
reinstalled...but without the internet i can't update the
virus definintions. the good thing is they were updated
on june 30th which should be recent enough, but i would
still like to. can your sister's pc connect to the
internet?

Tech supt finally conceded it was so entrained it would not work without the phonehome module and offred my money back saying "future printers would not have drivers integrated with connectivity modules.....two years later and is far worse. ...
